A rich white man wants to fund a new arena in downtown Baltimore.

Willard Hackerman, a wealthy and privileged white man, has offered to build a new arena in downtown Baltimore. If you're familiar with this city, this first picture is of what would be the Pratt and Charles Streets entrance. 

This project, which would double the size of the convention center, add a tower for a new hotel and a 18,500-seat arena. The dude is willing to finance $500 million of the total $900 million price tag.

This needs to happen.

15-year-old prodigy is youngest graduate of University of Baltimore

A month shy of his 16th birthday, Ty Hobson-Powell made history Sunday when he walked across the stage at The Lyric as the youngest person ever to graduate from the University of Baltimore.

Hobson-Powell gave up a fledgling basketball career when he began college three years ago, commuted more than an hour each way from his home in Northwest Washington after transferring last fall from Howard University and once completed 27 credits in a single semester while shuttling between classes at Howard, Montgomery College and the Internet. He will be going to law school in the fall, and possibly to medical school after that."

Sickest lax goal I've seen in a while.

This is from the Maryland-North Carolina game in the first round of the 2011 NCAA Men's Lacrosse tournament. Watch for the fake hand-off. Everybody -- all the UNC players, the cameraman, and the announcers -- were all confused by this hidden ball trick. If you're wondering, Maryland went on to win the game 13-6 and will face top-seeded Syracuse in next week's quarterfinals.
